Filter the Timeline

Timeline features are only available with Premium Service. To find out more, click here.

Your Timeline will display all recorded video events, but you can make finding events easier by using filters.

You can filter the Timeline by:

• All Video clips
• Video clips detected while away
• Bookmarked Video clips
• Smart detections eg. All Pet videos, Packages etc. (Learn more about our Smart detections here!)
• A specific device.
• HomeHealth alerts.

You can also filter any of the above by date, and combine filters. (eg. All Bookmarked Videos taken in Away Mode.)

How to use Filters:

1. Open the Canary app.
2. Tap the Timeline icon in the bottom right corner.
3. Tap the Three Lines in the top right corner.
4. Tap on the filter(s) you would like. For example, Away Mode.
5. Tap Apply Filter.

Now your Timeline will display all the events that occurred in Away Mode.

Filter by Date

If you would like to quickly find a video that occurred on a specific date, please follow the steps below: 

1. Open the Canary app.
2. Tap the Timeline icon in the bottom right corner.
3. Tap the Calendar icon in the top left corner to filter events by date.
4. Swipe left to right to move through the calendar. 
5. Tap on a date to view all video events from that date.
6. Tap on a video event to go to the Event Screen for that event, or tap the X to return to your Timeline.
