Save Wi-Fi Credentials FAQ

Important: The steps in this article have been updated to reflect app version 8.11.0, please update your app today for the best Canary experience.

With App version 8.11.0 and higher, you can now save your Wi-Fi credentials for faster device setups. This means you no longer have to re-enter your Wi-Fi password when either setting up a new device on your location, or reactivating your device.

How to save your Wi-Fi credentials:

1. Follow the device set upas normal.
2. Choose Wi-Fi connection.
3. Enter your Wi-Fi password.
4. Tap the toggle next to Save Wi-Fi network.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting up your Canary device.

My Wi-Fi password has changed, what do I do?

To update your saved credentials, you’ll need to remove the saved network and re-enter the new password during device setup.

To remove a saved network:

1. Tap the gear icon.
2. Tap My location.
3. Tap Delete saved Wi-Fi network.
4. Tap Delete to confirm.

During your next device activation, enter the updated Wi-Fi password and tap the Save Wi-Fi network toggle.
