Smart Detections allow you to receive a video clip instantly when a person, pet (cat or dog only at this time), or vehicle is detected. It can also detect loud sounds near the camera, along with T3 Smoke Alarms and T4 Carbon Monoxide Alarms if you are in the US. Learn more about Smart Detections here.
Note: Smart detections are only available with Premium Service.
To activate Smart Detections, please follow the steps below:
- Open the Canary App.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Manage my modes
- Tap on the mode you would like to edit.
From here you can decide to edit the settings for each individual device, or all devices at once.
- Tap record, and select people, pets, vehicles, and/or sound events.
Your device will now record motion or sound for the options you chose.
