With the latest Canary app update [7.7.0], you can now turn off Automatic Night Vision. If you're using your device in a conservatory, or through a window, you may be experiencing a glare when you watch live. As long as you have an external light source, eg. a streetlight, you may be able to use your Canary device without night vision.
Note: If you have no external light source and automatic night vision is not enabled, you will only see a black screen.
To turn off Automatic Night Vision:
- Open the Canary app.
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Tap on My devices.
- Select your Canary device.
- Tap the toggle next to Automatic Night Vision. If it is green, automatic night vision will be enabled. To turn off automatic night vision, please make sure the toggle is grey.
