If you've forgotten your password, you can send a password reset email to yourself from within the Canary app or on your web browser.
Note: For optimal security, resetting your account's password forces a logout of all active Canary app sessions. A password reset should be performed if you purchase a new phone for instance as a security measure.
Canary app
To reset your password while logged in to the Canary app:
- From the dashboard tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Tap My account.
- Tap Password and Security.
- Tap Reset Password.
- Follow the reset instructions on the screen.
To reset your password while logged out of the Canary app:
1. Log out of the Canary app if you're still logged in. 2. Tap Sign in on the Get Started screen. 3. Tap Forgot password? |

4. Type in the email address you use for your Canary account. 5. Tap Reset Password. 6. Follow the reset instructions in your email to continue. |
Browser
To reset your password in a browser:
- Go to my.canary.is/forgot.
- Type in the email address you use for your Canary account.
- Click Reset Password.
- Follow the reset instructions in your email to continue.
Password requirements
Your canary password length needs to be a minimum of 8 characters and it requires at least 1 letter and 1 number.
Trouble receiving?
Check Canary status
Check Canary system status to see if we're experiencing any temporary service interruptions that may impact password reset emails being delivered. If the status is "Operational" that means all things are normal with the Canary Cloud.
Check your Spam Folder
If all systems are operational we recommend checking your “Spam”, “Updates”, or “Promotions” filters if you use Gmail or running a search for Canary. Password reset emails can get marked as spam by some email service providers.
Did you unsubscribe from Canary email communications?
If you previously unsubscribed to Canary new user on-boarding emails that may effect delivery of password reset emails. In that case send an email to support@canary.is and one of our customer support agents will assist you.
