By customizing your HomeHealth notification settings, Canary will continue to monitor your home’s temperature, humidity and air quality, but you’ll only get notifications for changes in the conditions specific to your home environment.
Note: HomeHealth is not available on Canary Flex or Canary View.
Note: While Canary’s air quality sensor can detect carbon monoxide and smoke, Canary isn’t a replacement for a dedicated carbon monoxide or smoke detector in your home.
Configure Devices
In your settings, you can choose to manage notifications for all devices at a location, or for individual devices at the same location. To enable Homehealth Notifications, navigate to the Notifications section of your location’s settings under devices, then tap the switch to toggle it on.
Tap Set All Devices or Set Each Device to select your preference.
Adjust Your Settings
By default, Canary’s HomeHealth notification settings will notify you if the temperature falls below 50˚F or exceeds 95˚F; it will also notify you if the humidity falls below 10% or exceeds 90%. Air Quality notifications are off by default.
If you’d like to receive fewer or more notifications, adjust the sliders to set the normal range for the temperature, humidity, or air quality. For example, if you would like to be notified whenever the temperature exceeds 80˚F, move the temperature slider on the right side until the normal range ends at 80˚F.
To adjust your settings:
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Tap My devices.
- Tap on your Canary Pro.
- Tap on HomeHealth alerts.
Timeline
Any HomeHealth notifications sent appear on your Timeline as individual items, so you can review them later. Tap on an entry to view the HomeHealth graphs for that device.
