Invite your family members or roommates.
Auto-mode switching works best when everyone in your home is connected. Send member invitations from the settings section of the Canary app.
Customize home and night modes.
Decide when Canary records and when it doesn’t. Customize how Canary behaves in home mode, or schedule night mode to keep watch while you’re asleep.
Find the perfect spot.
We recommend placing Canary in a central, high-traffic area of your home. In larger homes, we recommend setting up a Canary near each main entrance.
If you think you’ve found a suitable place and plan to connect Canary to Wi-Fi, try streaming Watch Live from your device there. If it plays without interruption, you’ve found a good place for your device to live.
HomeHealth is affected by a variety of factors, including dust, heat, and humidity. Position Canary away from other heat-generating electronics in a dry, dust-free area to get the most accurate information on your home’s environmental conditions.
Canary operates within a temperature range of 32° to 104° F.
