If you want to give away or return your Canary, and you are the owner of the location, you can remove it from your account so another user can set it up.
If a Canary is removed, the location owner will receive a confirmation email.
Note: This is not a troubleshooting step. If you're having issues with your device, please try disconnecting then reconnecting it to power.
Requirements
There are three requirements for removing a Canary from a location:
- Only the location owner can remove a Canary.
- Canary has the firmware version 1.3.0 or later.
- Your iOS or Android app is version 1.2.8 or later.
Note: iOS app version 1.2.8 or later requires iOS 7 or later.
Go to Device Settings Follow these steps to locate your device settings and remove your Canary from your location: |
1. Swipe down on your Home Screen. 2. Tap Device settings. |

3. Tap the name of the Canary you want to remove. Note: If you forgot your password, tap the i next to Enter your password to receive a password reset email. |
