If you move your device to another geographic location, change the location of your Canary in your Location settings or create a new location and remove the device from the old location and install the device in the new location. This will then automatically have the correct geofencing associated with the new location. If you choose to amend the location, you will be required to update the Wi-Fi, change the location name and address and update your geofence.
Location Name
The location name is for your reference, and will help you differentiate between different geographic locations where you have set up Canary devices.
To change the name of your location:
- From the Dashboard tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Tap My location
- Tap Edit address
- Select the information you would like to update
- Enter the new name or location address

Return to the previous page to save the new information
Important: The location address does not define the center of the geofence for your location used for Home and Away detection. You can edit the size and position of your geofence by selecting your location details and edit geofence.
