If you've recently moved to a new address, instead of creating a new location on your account, you can edit your current location address. This is helpful if you have a paid subscription for instance and do not wish to change that. There are four stages involved in this:
- Updating the location address.
- Updating the geofence.
- Updating the device connection.
- Updating the name of the device / location. (Optional).
You can update the location address by following these steps:
- Open the Canary app
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Tap My location
- Tap Edit address and follow the onscreen instructions.
You can update your geofence by following these steps:
- Open the Canary app
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Tap My location
- Tap Geofence preferences
- Tap Edit position and follow the onscreen instructions
You can update your device connection by following the steps in this article.
The final (optional) step is to update the name of your device by following the steps below:
- Open the Canary app
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Tap My devices
- Tap the device you'd like to update
- Tap About this Canary Pro/View/Flex
- Tap Device placement and rename your device
