During the day, Canary uses an infrared cut (IR-cut) filter over the camera lens to keep colors accurate in daylight by filtering out IR light.
At night, the IR-cut filter is removed for a brighter image. When the IR-cut filter is removed and night vision is activated, all video from your Canary devices will be in black and white. You may hear a small clicking noise when the filter switches on and off, which may be captured in some recorded video events.
