A MAC Address is a unique identifier for network interfaces. Customers who wish to use MAC Address Filtering on their home network will need to know the MAC Address for their device so they can allow their Canary to connect to the internet.
While the MAC address of your device is not readily available to you from the Canary App, customers can Submit a Request with Canary support who can provide the device address to you. Please note that only a location owner or member email should submit a request for a MAC address for a device on your account.
Important: Please include the 12 digit serial number of the device in your request. You can find the serial number of the device within the Canary App.
To find the Serial Number of your device:
- Open the Canary app.
- Tap the gear icon on the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap My devices.
- Select the Device from the menu
- Tap About this Canary.
