What’s the difference between the Basic Warranty, Premium Warranty, and Extended Warranty+?
Extended Warranty+ offers enhanced protection beyond Basic and Premium Service. It remains active as long as your device is eligible and can be purchased anytime.

Which devices are eligible for Extended Warranty+?
To qualify for the Extended Warranty+, your Canary camera must be activated and in good working order.
Extended Warranty+ is available for the Canary Pro and Canary View. Plan availability varies by state — see the full list in the Extended Warranty+ Terms & Conditions.
Where is Extended Warranty+ available?
Extended Warranty+ is available for purchase only by residents of, and at addresses located in, the following U.S. states:
Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, and West Virginia.
Extended Warranty+ is not available in any other U.S. state or in the District of Columbia, and is not available outside the United States.
How can I file a claim?
You can file a claim by logging into your account at my.canary.is and going to My Locations.
You will be prompted to complete some troubleshooting steps and to provide the following:
- Photographs or video of the device
- The device’s serial number
- Proof of purchase
- Proof that the device is a Covered Device.
What should I do if my camera is stolen or lost?
If your camera is stolen, please submit a police report within 30 days, along with your claim. We’ll send you a replacement device.
Note that replacement is a courtesy service and at the sole discretion of Canary. Loss of the device is not covered.
What does Breakdown Protection cover?
Breakdown Protection covers any mechanical or electrical failures that may occur during normal use of the device. Your warranty includes one camera replacement per year for mechanical or electrical claims.
