If you have Professional Monitoring linked to a Canary device on your account, you can activate Auto Siren. This means when a person is detected, and the event is escalated, your device can emit an alarm to deter the person. This sound can be either a siren or a warning "chirp."
Note: This feature is available using Canary app version 7.8.0 or above.
How does it work?
The Service Settings of Professional Monitoring must be adjusted to activate the Auto Siren feature. Please follow these steps:
- Open the Canary app
- From the Dashboard, tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Tap on ‘My services’
- Tap on ‘Audio Alerts’
- Tap on the device you wish to add an ‘Audio Alert’ to.
- Select Siren (including chirp), Chirp, or Mute
- Tap on Done
- You can now exit this screen with the back arrow and the settings will save.
With Professional Monitoring active, your Canary device will sound an alarm based on your configuration when a person is detected.
Note: If you also have Auto Siren with Premium Service configured, your Auto Siren with Pro Monitoring settings will be prioritized when Pro Monitoring is on in Away mode.
