Bulk Delete Videos and Timeline Events FAQ

The latest Canary App update (8.6.0) will now allow you to select and delete multiple video entries at once. 

How do I use the multi-select feature? 

1. Open the Canary app.
2. Tap on the Timeline icon.
3. Tap on the Pencil icon in the top right corner.
4. You can now select multiple videos by tapping the circle. A green check mark will appear once it is selected.
5. To delete the selected videos, tap Delete at the bottom of the screen.
6. Tap Delete item(s).

How do I use the Select All feature?

1. Open the Canary app.
2. Tap on the Timeline icon.
3. Tap on the Pencil icon in the top right corner.
4. Tap on Select All in the top left corner.
5. To delete the all videos and entries, tap Delete at the bottom of the screen.
6. Then tap Delete items.

Please note: all entries, including Presence Alerts, HomeHealth readings etc., will be deleted. This action cannot be undone, and they cannot be recovered once they have been deleted.

How do I use the multi-select feature with filters?

1. Open the Canary app.
2. Tap on the Timeline icon.
3. Tap the three lines in the top right corner.
4. Select the filters you would like applied.
5. Tap Apply Filter.
6. Tap on the Pencil icon in the top right corner.
7. Tap on Select All in the top left corner.
8. To delete the videos and entries, tap Delete at the bottom of the screen.
9. Tap Delete item(s).

If I Select All, will my bookmarked videos be deleted?

Yes, all entries will be deleted, including Bookmarked videos.
